Esteban Roa with dog in backyard

Hi, I’m Esteban!

I am a music therapist, sound meditation practitioner and mindfulness instructor with additional training in applied vibroacoustic therapy and neurologic music therapy.

I’ve used drumming as a tool for humanitarian aid, I’ve guided singing groups which have brought back a sense of self to those experiencing cognitive decline, and I’ve seen how music and sound can cultivate comfort and dignity for the dying. Because of this work, I’ve learned that it’s through contemplative, compassionate, and uplifting practices that we can understand how to be our full selves. I know we can learn to see that there is no rush, that it is okay to slow down, look around, and acknowledge how absolutely incredible it is to be alive - to be experiencing what it is to be human. I know that through this work we can learn to be kinder to ourselves and to each other. I know we can learn how to lean into discomfort and difficulty so that we can see that it’s still possible to be good to ourselves, even when we may feel scared or lost. And so I welcome you - every last bit of you! I so look forward to working with you and showing you how the practice of sound and mindfulness can pierce through adversity and help you unlock your innate healing potential.
